Movie Review: Made In Korea

Shenba ( Priyanka Mohan), raised by loving parents in a remote mountain village,  dreams of going to Korea one day, right from childhood. But her financial sutuation doesn't allow it.

Until one day, thanks to her boyfriend, she finally lands up on Korean soil. But at the cost of finding out that he has cheated her and runn away with her father's hard earned money.

She lands in Korea not knowingv the language and finds out that the job he lined up was a scam. But she is determined not to return home till she earns back the money and repays her father.

How does she survive in a strange land, with no friends nor family and no job? Does she  achieve her goals?

The film is touted to be a feel good, travel movie with a message and succeeds in delivering the goods.

Priyanka Mohan carries the film of her shoulders quite successfully, playing the naive and trusting small town girl who never gives up even in the toughest of situations. Credibly conveying a variety of emotions from love, despair, hope and sweet victory with a solid performance, she breezes through the film with a rivetting performance.

The Korean actors add to the film with their top notch act.

The visuals of the film are a highlight,  be it the mountain village in India or the colorful  landscape of Urban Korea,  hope is always on the air, with a plethora of colors to propel you forward.

Though many situations seem a tad contrived, one soon understands that the attempt is to entertain and not get entangled in logical detailing.

Good music, sharp editing, great visuals, good performances and a feel good storyline, make the film an entertaining watch.
