  Arukan ( Rajan Tejeshwar) is part of a gamg of mercenary killers on hire, led by Mozart (George Maryan). They hail from a tiny remote hamlet in the mountains,  an arid area where employment is hard to come by. During one prticular assignment, things turn unexpectedly ugly and Arukan find himself in the cross hairs of feuds between groups of people involved in hiring, of which he had no clue. But the result of the assignment has a,domino effect which brings a girl Sharmila ( Iraa Agarwal ) into his life,  the daughter of the man he killed.  Ironically, she has no idea tha Arukan is the killer. Searching for the killer and wanting him to bring him to justice, leads both Sharmila abs Arukan down a dangerous path, surrounded by enemies. To add to it,  the reserved Arukan develops tender feelings for Sharmila. What happens to the duo? Does their love survive the danger they are in? Raya ( Yash) and Ganga ( Nayanthara) are siblings who suffered immense poverty and trauma as kids, with Ganga sacrificing a lot to raise her younger brother. Her dream of Raya ruling his world, wielding immense power comes true, when  Raya becomes a powerful gangster in Goa, still under Portuguese control in 1947. Raya soon spreads his wings up to Macau with the opium trade but along the way gains innumerable enemies. His rise to the top however, also comes with a heavy emotional cost, with his inability to handle  human relationships with depth and caring.  Mayilsamy ( Kavin ) dreams of falling in love and getting married one day but when this never happens he loses all hope. One day he meets the beautiful Devayani (Nayanthara) with whom he slowly falls in love. But she has problems of her own to deal with and is focussed on getting a job to fend for herself. But due to a series of circumstances,  she lands up in Mayilsamy's home after he lies to his parents ( Radhika and late Bhagyaraj) about her being his lady love and pregnant with his child.  The family is shocked but accepts her and readies for a grand wedding. But Mayilsamy knows she doesnt love him and is focussed on her job.  Does Mayilsamy manage to tell her his true feelings? Does she reciprocate his love?  The first half is spent introducing the characters and their respective worlds sprinkled with humor, in a light-hearted manner keeping the viewer engaged.
