Movie Review: Hi
Mayilsamy ( Kavin ) dreams of falling in love and getting married one day but when this never happens he loses all hope. One day he meets the beautiful Devayani (Nayanthara) with whom he slowly falls in love. But she has problems of her own to deal with and is focussed on getting a job to fend for herself. But due to a series of circumstances, she lands up in Mayilsamy's home after he lies to his parents ( Radhika and late Bhagyaraj) about her being his lady love and pregnant with his child. The family is shocked but accepts her and readies for a grand wedding. But Mayilsamy knows she doesnt love him and is focussed on her job. Does Mayilsamy manage to tell her his true feelings? Does she reciprocate his love? The first half is spent introducing the characters and their respective worlds sprinkled with humor, in a light-hearted manner keeping the viewer engaged.
