Movie Review : Rajini Gaang

The story, a horror comedy, revolves setting a young man ( Rajini Kiishen) who elopes with his love Myna ( Dwivika) and the duo get married secretly with a stolen thali given by a thief.

But on the wedding night,  a ghost Ponnarasi who  owned the original thali is unleashed and posesses the bride, asking for revenge.

Luckily, the groom gets help from a sorcerer (Motta Rajendran). Who is the original ghost? What does she want? Are the young lovers united?

The film has a plethora of actors including Cool Suresh and Munishkanth. The film attempts to be a romantic horror comedy and  succeeds in bringing in  laughs by and large.

Cool Suresh has bagged a full length meaty role and displays his acting talent in the right measure.  Munishkanth too is there all through  in full form.

Hero Rajini Kiishen has done a good job, confident as the romantic here, and delivers his dialogues with the right expressions and body language. Dwivika shines in her role and both share a good chemistry. The hero shares a good camaraderie with other costars as well, which reflects well in screen.

Motta Rajendran can be seen in a different avatar.

Though the film is a horror show, for a change, there sets no scary prosthetics or horror make up.

Storywise, the film moves along predictable lines and  there are lags in places when few laughs  dont land and moves are too slapstick. But a motley crowd of comedians manage to make up for the lags.

Overall, with its sound making and  production values and neat performances, for people looking for a timepass family entertainer,  Rajinj Gaang fits the bill.
