Overjoyed by the reception received for the film 'Hi' - the film crew met with press and media friends and thanked them!

Nayanthara and Kavin's first film together, 'Hi', released in theaters on August 28th and has been running successfully in theaters to great acclaim from fans and critics. To express gratitude for the reception and support the film has been receiving, the film crew met with press and media friends and expressed their gratitude.

The actors, actresses and technicians who worked on the film participated in this meeting and shared their happiness about the reception that the film 'Hi' is receiving among the fans.

Producer S. S. Lalithkumar said,

“First of all, my heartfelt thanks to all the press and media friends. Without you, it is not possible to bring any film to the public in the right way. Thank you very much for your continued support for the film ‘Hi’. When we made this film, many people asked why we are making such a film after big films. We made this film with the intention of giving a good story and a good film to the fans. The reception it is receiving today is very happy,” he said.

“I have a very close relationship with everyone on this stage. I will never forget the love that Prabhu sir showed me during the shoot. Before coming to Thoothukudi for the shoot, he contacted me and said, ‘Brother, don’t eat anything, I will bring food from home, you should eat from me.’ I am very grateful for that affection and love that he showed without any expectations. I have fought with him on many things, but at the same time, the love in that relationship is the greatest,” he said.

“I have a family-like relationship with Philo. I have worked with him in four films so far. So there is a special closeness to talk about him. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone, from the actors to the technicians, who worked for this film. Everyone’s contribution is important for this success,” he said.

“The way Vishnu tells the story is very unique. We can fully feel the emotion of the story as he narrates it. That emotion really touched me when he first told the story. Composer Jen Martin speaks...

“Thank you all. This is my fourth film with director Vishnu and actor Kavin. Kavin is my school friend. From the days when we used to talk in school, ‘You will become an actor, I will become a music composer’ to this moment, I am very happy. I feel like our dream has come true today. I am very happy that this film has become a good success. Since this is my fourth film with Kavin, I hope I have at least lived up to the trust he has placed in me. Actress Amrutha Srinivasan speaks..,

“I have usually been a host on many shows and welcomed actors. But today, I am very happy to be standing on this stage as an actor. I thank the film crew for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play the role of Nanban in this film. My special thanks to Kavin Anna. Director Vishnu is a very good person. He has the ability to overcome any challenges like rain, storm, flood and turn them into success. It was a great pleasure to work with him on this journey.

Working with senior artists like Prabhu sir and Radhika madam was an unforgettable experience. Prabhu sir in particular treated me very naturally and kindly. He would come up to me spontaneously and talk to me without making me feel any hesitation as a new actor, and would ask questions in a friendly manner. Those moments shared with him are unforgettable. I have already worked with Radhika madam in a show. The experience of acting with her in this film was also very happy. She is very lively; she is also good at teasing and making us laugh.

“Since ‘Hi’ is my first film, it is a great moment for me to stand on this stage as a director. I am deeply grateful to everyone who gave me a chance on this journey, believed in me and helped me make this film. I will always be grateful to those who helped me get recognition in my early cinematic journey and to those who have continuously encouraged and supported me.

Every artist who acted in this film trusted me and gave their full cooperation. From senior actors to young actors, everyone brought their characters to life. My heartfelt thanks to everyone including Sathyan sir, Qureshi, Akshay Kumar, Amrutha, Kavya. It was an honor for me to work with such talented actors in my first film.

My friendship with music composer Jen Martin dates back to my school days. We used to say, 'I will be the director, you will be the music composer' even during our school days. Today, it gives me great emotional happiness that he has composed the music for my first film. Similarly, all the technical artists including cinematographer Rajesh Shukla and editor Philomin Raj were a huge strength for this film. Without their contribution, I would have been lost.

I couldn’t imagine anyone else in those roles other than Radhika Madam, Prabhu Sir, Sukhasini Madam, Bhagyaraj Sir. I felt right then that this story would get its full strength only if those actors come together. Directed by debutant director Vishnu Edavan, the film 'Hi' stars Nayanthara, Kavin, K. Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, 'Aditya' Kathir, Qureshi and many others in important roles. Rajesh Shukla has handled the cinematography and Jen Martin has composed the music for the film. Philomin Raj has handled the editing, while S. Kannan has handled the art direction.

The film, which was released as a family entertainer, is jointly produced by Nayanthara, Vignesh Sivan and S. S.
