 Four youngsters ( 2 girls and 2 boys) venture into a forest accompanied by a young local village girl, Kantha, to guide them. Their aim is capture on film,  some supernatural activities in the forest  But when they don't return ,police find the live footage of what they have shot on cameras. What fate did the youngsters meet with? Fully shot in the jungle, the movie manages to keep scares coming,  with jump scares and  scary sounds that add to the mystery and fear factor, just when you least expect them. The use of silence and night effects and natural lighting from torches is well used to increase the thrill factor.  The story line is relatively simple but the presentation  retains a novelty.  Akhilan ( Shaam) is a cop in Kodaikanal, who lives with his loving wife Priya ( Nira) ,who is a  media person.  Akhilan is intrigued by a case which is bizarre. A series of suicides take place wherein young men slit their stomachs. The one intriguing clue he finds that is uniting all these deaths is that all of them are chess players. But, to his dismay Akhilan is sent off the case when his college mate Vijay comes to his house and commits suicide , along with his brother, in the same manner. Murmur that is awaiting its worldwide theatrical release on March 7, has captured the attention of film enthusiasts for being the first-ever found footage horror film in the Tamil film industry. The film is written and directed by Hemnath Narayanan and is produced by Prabhakaran of S.P.K. Pictures in association with Stand Alone Pictures International.  Director Arivazhagan and actor Aadhi Pinisetty return with music director S Thaman, after a long gap post Eeram, for this supernatural thriller, Sabdham, in  Tamil and Telugu. Ruban ( Aadhi) is a paranormal investigator looking into the mystery  of several deaths in a medical college. Ruban's investigations lead to a link with medical house surgeon Avanthika ( Lakshmi Menon). What is reason behind these deaths? What does Ruban discover? The film adds a technical touch with Ruban using hi tech sound instruments for his investigations, relying mainly on sounds, hence the link to the title. There is enough of suspense to keep the viewer guessing and Thaman's bgm works in building up a crescendo of chills and intrigue.   A retired Supreme Court lawyer living in the hills,  Dharamaraj ( SA Chandrasekar) encounters a stray dog who leads him to the dead body of her puppy who seems to have been killed by a vehicle. Moved by her plight, Dharamraj files a case against a local bigwigs son, Ranjit Sekar. When the case comes to court, thy r powerful Ranjit is, strongly defended by Nandagopal ( Balaji Sakthivel). Soon, though he tries his best,  Dharamraj is at his wits end to resolve the case and bring justice. What happens next? Kooran is an unusual story and as such kudos to the team for thinking of a unique subject with a novel premise and a several social messages.  Aghathiyaa ( Jiiva) is an art director in films who runs into bad luck when a shoot he invested in is cancelled and he has to somehow recover the money he invested on the set.  His assistant Veena (Raashi Khanna) comes up with an idea of converting the old house into a 'scary house' which will attract vistors for a fee, helping them to recover the funds.
