Prasanna enters digital platform with ZEE5 web series Thiravam

Prasanna enters the OTT platform with a Zee5 web series called Thiravam, a political thriller about a scientist who discovers alternate fuel and the dangers he faces after the discovery.




At the launch in Chennai, ZEE 5 country head who flew down from Mumbai Aparna Achrekar, said, 'We are very happy that Prasanna is entering the OTT platform with Zee 5. We will be launching around 73 new serials on our platform. It's just amazing how he transformed himself into a middle aged man with a paunch when he is so fit in real life. '

The film is produced by Abirami Ramanathan' Anantya Entertainment and directed by cameraman turned debut director, Arvind Krishna. The music is by Gopal Rao Panrangi. Editing is by Pradeep Jennifer.
The actors include Indhuja, Swayam Siddha, Azhagan Perumal, John Vijay and others.

ZEE5 South Content Head Suriya said,' I had discussed this app format many years ago with Arvind Krishna and we are happy that this had taken shape. He is a renowned cameraman and we are very happy to be introducing him at a director. '
Said Arvind Krishna, ' Prasanna was my first choice for this role. He was excited about playing a pot bellied , greying man. I saw Indhuja  in Meiyaadha Maan and after hearing the story post a little hesitation about shifting grin movies to a web series, she said yes. The OTT platform is the future. This is the right shift to the medium. I would like to thank Yuhi Sethu for helping with the story. I thank Abirami Ramanathan who came in as co-producer. My associates did the camera work. Without Omar my EP and support from Zee5 we wouldn't have been able to complete this. I want to do more web series and balance it with my film work. '



Actor Prasanna said ,' Thiravam is a very important project in my life. For a film we get an immediate response. But for this it's very difficult to gather a response. This is an exciting phase for me. This is a fictional story. The challenges of this character were very interesting. For me acting is important, no matter what the platform. The way we shoot is the same as for Cinema. Nowadays making and releasing a film is a huge challenge. Zee 5 is charging only Rs 49 per month for regional content which is a very nominal amount. I hope viewers make use of it and enjoy this content. '
