_Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios unveil the first trailer for MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, marking the powerful return of one of pop culture’s most iconic franchises to the big screen._





Directed by visionary filmmaker Travis Knight, Masters of the Universe is reimagined as an epic live-action sci-fi action adventure. After being separated from his home for 15 years, Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) is drawn back to Eternia by the mystical Sword of Power—only to discover his world shattered under the ruthless rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto).


As Eternia teeters on the edge of destruction, Adam reunites with his closest allies—Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan / Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba)—and embraces his destiny to become He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.


Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley, featuring Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto, with Jared Leto and Idris Elba, the film delivers epic scale, high-octane action, and emotional depth—bringing a beloved world to life for a new generation.


The live-action feature film Masters of the Universe from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios, based on the iconic franchise, will be released theatrically in IMAX and other premium formats in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on 5th June, 2026 by Sony Pictures Entertainment India.

 Director Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi hit screens on 10th January. The film is based on the TN students anti Hindi imposition movement in the 1960s. The story revolves around a student, Chezhiyan (Sivakarthikeyan) who starts an agitation against Hindi imposition along with co-students, on one dark night on the railway tracks.  Sengottavan ( Vemal ) and his wife Bommi ( Shrusti Dange) live in a mountain village and are leaders of the people. Sengottavan has an enemy in the tribal leader Ganga ( Mahina Ghupta) who was once his lover at a young age, but the duo were separated due to a village feud with a statue at the centre of it all. Now,  Ganga is baying for his blood and wants to kill Sengottavan and get back the village deity as well. In the mix is a corrupt cop (John Vijay) who also wants the statue. But he is working in cahoots with the tycoon King Of God ( Kabir Duhan Singh) who cruelly tortures the villagers and steals the statue with the help of the cops. What happens next? Is Sengottavan able to save the deity and his village from destruction? Is the dispute between the rivals solved in the process?
