VIJAY DEVERAKONDA DONATES 5 LAKHS FOR KERALA FLOOD RELIEF

Telugu heartthrob Arjun Reddy fame actor Vijay Deverakonda seems to have his heart in the right place.
Looking forward to the the release of Geeta Govindam this week,  hasnt distracted him from keeping an eye on current events in the country. Moved by the plight of lakhs of people affected by the incessant rains and floods in Kerala, the actor has started a campaign to collect funds for the cause.
Appealing to his fans group  better known as the nickname'Rowdies' he has set off the campaign with his personal contribution to the Kerala CM Relief Fund and posted the details on Twitter
Recalling his love for Kerala, his  first holiday destination, and petrurbed by the devastation, he has made an online transfer to the CM fund thereby setting an example and also inspiring others in the process. "Kerala was my first holiday destination and gave me a lot of love for my work. I've met a lot of people from there who are some of the nicest people I know. I dont know how to reach  out personally but I am thinking of you" he tweeted before making the money transfer. "Rowdies lets all pitch in small amounts and we may make a huge change to  someone  like us.  Here, I'll start off with 5 lakhs" he added in his tweet.
A simple message with a powerful gesture. Kudos to the actor for rising to the occasion !
