by Rinku Gupta
Actor and director SJ Suryah is thrilled at the success of his latest release,  Monster, produced by Potential Studios. He plays the role of a man who is plagued by a rat in his house. Directed by Nelson  Venkatesan, and co -starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, the film is recieving rave reviews and the theatre count has increased.

On the occasion, SJ Suryah held a Thank You meet which he dedicated to the media, press, fans and his producer and director colleagues
" I've come a long way from where I started. This Monster is a turning point in my life at this stage. Seeing the family audiences coming in large numbers for my film, I feel a tinge of regret and guilt as to why I didnt do such family- oriented films earlier!' said the actor. ' 'I feel this is the start of a fresh and beautiful journey for me. Im happy when I act and I plan to act in more films in future. I hope good films come my way now'.
The actor felt the turning point for him as an actor was Karthik Sybbaraj's Iraivi. 2 more films he has acted  in are lying unreleased. He is now part of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Uyirndha Manithan, which is the Big B's foray into Tamil.
In an upbeat mood, Suryah grew nostalgic about his career and traced his journey in cinema. ' I have been running around for 25 years in cinema facing bigs with ups and downs and bouncing back each time. The press and media and fans have always supported and encouraged me.  I now find a new beginning in my journey. When I saw a show of  Monster with Karthik Subbaraj, Bobby Simhaa and his little daughter who was squealing in delight all through, I felt so happy. I could hear the noises and involvement of the audience also.  I felt so deeply contented.  Its  the first time families were coming in such large numbersfor my film! Good things  are happening for me and I plan to continue acting in Hindi,Tamil and Telugu.' He thanked Potential Studios for backing such good content and Nelson for casting him.
