Film Review : Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku

 Director Karthik Adwaith's Vikram Prabhu, Vani Bhojan, Vivek Prasanna starrer, Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku hit screens on June 23rd.








Aravind ( Vikram Prabhu) runs an I T firm with his friend ( Vivek Prasanna). During the wedding arrangements for his sister, he meets an event planner ( Vani Bhojan) and they fall in love.  But there is a secret he finally reveals to her before she decides on marriage.  He suffers from night blindness. 

Before their love story takes wings,  a series of tragedies befall Aravind's life.  Who are the people behind it all? Does Aravind manage to find the truth and take revenge dispite his diability?

The film has pleasant visuals, a breezy love track,  bits of comedy, family sentiment and solid performances. The stunt sequences are a highlight,  with Vikram Prabhu aceing the fights in a credible manner. Watch out for the climax sequence.

Vikram Prabhu looks urbane and stylish in his makeover, and his scenes with the pretty Vani Bhojan, who makes her presence felt,  make for a pleasant watch. Vikram aces the stunt sequences which add to the film. 

The bgm though loud art times,  is adequate, and the songs are well picturised, in pleasant locales.


While some scenes seem far fetched, like the one on the highway, racing to meet his father,  the movie overall manages to keep the suspense and thrills quotients high.

Though the second half seems like the film is racing ahead, due to a slower first half,  the film makes up for any speed breakers  in the climax scenes. 

However, one wishes the blood letting and violence could have been cut down a bit 

A good outing for Vikram Prabhu, a fresh pairing and an interesting premise with a racy narrative, is PONY in a nutshell.

Film Review: 7G The Dark Story

 Varsha ( Smruthi Venkat) and her husband Rajiv move into their own new flat numbered 7 G, with their son. At the house warming party, Rajiv's ex girlfriend Nisha does a witchcraft on their son Rahul and the family because she wants Rajiv back in her life.  Soon some eerie events create havoc in the happy family.  One day,  the truth behind the happenings is revealed. The ghost haunting them is none other than Manjula ( Sonia Agarwal) who had lived there previously with her son.
