Team Thankar Bachan's Karumegangal Kalaigindrana Meets Press

 

Riota Media is producing a beautiful family entertainer titled "Karumegangal Kalaigindrana" directed by Thankar Bachan.  The film features Bharathiraja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Aditi Balan and Yogi Babu in the lead roles. Mahana, SA Chandrashekar, Delhi Ganesh, Vipin, RV Udhay Kumar and many others have performed important characters. GV Prakash Kumar has composed music for this film and Ekambaram has handled cinematography. With the film hitting screens worldwide on September 1, 2023, the entire team was present for the press meet. 

The occasion commenced with the special surprise of entire team celebrating the birthday of Iyakkunar Imayam Filmmaker Bharathiraja.

Director RV Udhaya Kumar said, "Director Bharathiraja is a great inspiration to everyone in the film industry. He is 84 yrs old and is still fresh in mind. While filmmakers like us are getting bored, he looks so vigorous and is going to direct a new movie now. I have known Thankar Bachan from the days of our film institute. No other actor would have done such a justice to the role as Bharathiraja has done in this film. The film has 6 directors as a part of this star-cast. I am giving this title to Thankar Bachan as 'Celluloid Sirpi'.  Karumegangal Kalaigindrana will be a unique and special film for pure cinema lovers." 

Actress Mahana said, "Yesterday I saw the film and was so happy about it. It was really a nervous experience to be working with so many directors in this film. Working with Bharathiraja sir was such a beautiful experience. I beleive that this film will be a breakthrough in my career."

Cinematographer Ekambaram said, "The entire process of filming Karumegangal Kalaigindrana has been great. We have shot the film across various places. Filmmaker Bhagyaraj after watching the film said that after a certain point of time, the visuals became so realistic, and it didn't look like a cinema. The movie will be a great experience for the audiences."

Editor Lenin said, "When I started editing the film, I didn't feel anything unwanted and the entire duration was so lengthy that I suggested a double interval like the classic film "Sangam". I will keep working with Bharathiraja and I am going to edit his next directorial. Every actor in this film have done a remarkable Karumegangal Kalaigindrana will be an important film of this year. 

Art Director Michael said, "More than a filmmaker, Thankar Bachan sir is a good writer. Muthuraj sir said that reading his script itself will give a great clarity and one can easily direct a film. There are many emotional moments in the film. We wanted the visuals to be so real and used the original properties of the respective regions."

Actress Aditi Balan said, "My heartiest birthday wishes to Bharathiraja sir. My first film Aruvi had newcomers and this one gave me a completely different experience to work with versatile actors and techincians. I beleive this film will be a unique cinematic experience for audiences."

Filmmaker-Actor Gautham Vasudev Menon said, "When Thankar Bachan approached me for this film, I was quite doubtful if I can pull it off perfectly as I had to play Bharathiraja sir's son role. While dubbing my portions, I was curious to watch the other scenes not involving me as well. Aditi has done a wonderful job. I will definitely listen to all scripts from Thankar Bachan. KK movie will be a delight for universal crowds."

Filmmaker Bharathiraja said, "Thankar Bachan is a great writer and he has crafted a wonderful movie. He has given me a good character in this film. When working with Gautham Vasudev Menon, I realised that he isn't just a fabulous filmmaker, but he proved to be a fantastic actor, where his eyes speak a lot.of emotions. A single news about a commercial heroine’s presence is making headlines rather than a good cinema with pure content that fails to get mentioned. Press and Media has failed to give importance to such movies. 

What’s the purpose and gain in boasting about a film collecting in Rs.500 in box office. The leading heroes, should at least, once in a couple of years, should allot their date for some good films.  The commercial films that promote violence, bloodshed and gory elements are getting glorified, and by watching these movies, we are ruining the lives of kids and teens. I grew up watching commercial films of MGR, where he had a strong ideology of not smoking and drinking in any of his movies. But is that the situation today? 

Karumegangal Kalaigindrana is a movie that will touch everyone’s heart. Every time, you watch this film, there will be lots of significance and fresh elements that you will carry back. GV Prakash Kumar is a gifted music directors. Yogi Babu is a versatile performer, but we are utilising him as a comedian. I watched Aditi Balan’s Aruvi, a long time after its release, and I regretted for missing it. 

Vipin Lal, who has acted in this movie will go places after the film’s release. He owns the beautiful qualities of Fahadh Faasil. Bharathiraja sir has worked a lot for this film, and I felt so guilty for making him strain a lot. His performance is beyond brilliance. Gautham Vasudev Menon accepted to be a part of this film, and committed himself to the core. The entire film will be a beautiful experience for the audiences.”
