Kavitha ( Rakshana) lives with her grandfather Ramaiah ( Bharathi Raja) in a rural area.  Her uncle ( Susiethiran) is a casteist who wants her to marry within the community. It so happens that during her 10th standard, she falls in love with a new student Vinoth ( Shyam Selvan). Though they are of different backgrounds, Ramaiah agrees to their union, but on the condition that they will not be in touch with each other, till their education is over.

The lovers agree. But fate has other things in store. Do they unite and live happily ever after?

The performances of the leads, newbies Rakshana and Shyam Selvan, is commendable. They bring their charcacters to life in a genuine way and make a mark with their performances.

Bharathi Raja is superb as the grandfather with tough decisions to make and he brings out beautifully, the layers of his character. Watch out for the climax scenes in particular.

Suseinthiran as the villainous uncle gives  a stellar performance while Naksha Saran as Kavitha's best friend, Hema, is superb.

The visuals pleasant and so is the music.

The film has, certain unexpected twists which keep the interest going.

On the flip side, though the actors have done a good job, the credibility of looking like 10th standard kids dips in certain places.

The focus on suicide as a solution could have been avoided perhaps, especially in todays day and age.

The songs, though a pleasant watch,  act at speedbreakers.

The cast angle yet again on screen, could have been perhaps differently handled to set the film apart.
