Madhavan's transformation as The Edison of India captivates audiences!

Varghese Moolan Pictures, in association with Tricolour Films, today unveiled the highly anticipated First Look for their biopic, GDN, celebrating the life of the revolutionary industrialist, inventor, and philanthropist G.D. Naidu.

The revealed first look has instantly generated buzz, confirming actor R. Madhavan's profound dedication to embodying the visionary. Much like his revered portrayal of other national heroes and complex characters, including Nambi Narayanan, Madhavan appears completely immersed in the spirit of G.D. Naidu, signaling another powerful and authentic performance.

G.D. Naidu's monumental contributions to innovation, science, and public service cemented his place in Indian history. Known widely as the 'Edison of India' and the 'Wealth Creator of Coimbatore,' his enduring legacy is honored not just through this film, but also by having the longest bridge in Tamil Nadu named after him. The release of the first look on October 26th serves as a perfect tribute to his enduring impact.

This film marks the anticipated reunion of the National Award-winning teams from Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films, following the massive critical and commercial success of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.

Illustrious High-Profile Cast and Crew Unveiled
The production proudly announced that acclaimed music director Govind Vasantha will score the music for GDN. The film boasts an illustrious high-profile cast featuring some of the industry's most respected names, including: Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiah, and Vinay Rai, to name a few.

The film is written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar. Filming is currently under progress, with the production team committed to shooting entirely on location in Coimbatore, G.D. Naidu's birthplace, to capture the authenticity of his life and times.

GDN is produced by Varghese Moolan and Vijay Moolan of Varghese Moolan Pictures, and R. Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan of Tricolour Films. Aravind Kamalanathan serves as Cinematographer and Creative Producer, with Muralidaran as Executive Producer.

The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in Summer 2026.
