Zhagaram Studios presents Suriya 47: Filming Commences with Pooja Ceremony
Chennai, December 7, 2025: Zhagaram Studios officially launched the shoot of Suriya 47 this morning in Chennai with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting new collaboration between actor Suriya and director Jithu Madhavan. The event was attended by the film’s cast, crew, and several respected well-wishers from the industry.
The project has been one of the most anticipated announcements of the year, with fans and audiences showing immense curiosity and excitement ever since the collaboration between Suriya and Jithu Madhavan first came into discussion. The pooja ceremony brought the entire team together, including Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Actor Anandraj, Music Director Sushin Shyam, and other key members of the cast and crew.
The occasion was also graced by distinguished guests including, producer of the film Mrs. Jyotika, Actor Karthi, Rajsekar Pandian (2D Entertainment), S.R. Prakash and S.R. Prabhu (Dream Warrior Pictures), along with many others who extended their wishes for the film’s success.
Following the pooja, the production team commenced filming immediately, marking the beginning of the first schedule.
Director Jithu Madhavan shared his excitement: “New industry, New beginning, that too with the star like Suriya, adds more excitement. Trying to do something new, I hope the audience accepts and enjoys the freshness that we are trying to deliver.”
Actor Suriya leads the film as the protagonist, with Nazriya Nazim playing the female lead. Rising actor Naslen, who has gained attention with multiple successful outings, plays an important role. John Vijay, Anandaraj, and several familiar performers are also part of the cast.
The film features cinematography by Vineeth Unni Palode, music by Sushin Shyam, production design by Ashwini Kale, and editing by Ajmal Sabu. Chetan D Souza is the stunt master.
