'Anbe Diana' trailer launched

 

The trailer launch of the film 'Anbe Diana', jointly produced by 'Million Dollar Studios' and 'Neo Castle Creations', was held in Chennai. The film crew and the actors who starred in the film participated in the event and shared various interesting information about the film with the journalists.

I have worked with Pari Ilavalakan in the film 'Jamaa'. We are long-time friends. This stage, this moment, can be said to be a dream of many years.

After finishing 'Jamaa', when Pari first told me about the online version of 'Anbe Diana', I was very excited. The main reason for that is that we both are from Perambur. He has created a beautiful story based on Perambur.

To talk about this film, the way Pari talked about Perambur when he first started narrating the story really impressed me. I am a Chennai boy. I have been to Perambur many times. I have taken the ICF bus, I have travelled in the 29C bus. But the way he described Perambur, it was like a separate world. His story created in me the desire to visit the place in person.

I have told that story to my friends with great enthusiasm. It was then that I realized that I had developed a great attraction towards this story without even knowing it. So, before the filming started, I went to Perambur three or four times and visited all the places mentioned by Pari. It was a feeling of seeing a new world in the city of Chennai that we know so well, which we had not noticed before.

Most of the characters in this film are inspired by real people that Barry met in his life. That is why this film is very special to me. I have worked with complete satisfaction on every aspect, from the music, background score, screenplay, and the acting of the actors. Not only as a music composer, but also as a fan who has seen the film, I have great confidence in this film.

When Barry first came to tell me this story, I asked, ‘What character am I going to play?’ He said, ‘You’re the father character.’ When I heard that, I was a little hesitant, ‘What, is the father character coming next?’ I said sarcastically, ‘My friend Samuthirakani is still playing a young man; I’m the only one who’s become a father!’ To that, Barry said, ‘You’re the young father.’

But after listening to the entire story, I said, 'This is not just a father role; if necessary, I will happily play the grandfather role too.' He had written the story so beautifully.

Not just my character, but every character in the film has a complete journey and a beautiful ending. All the characters are written very beautifully. That is the biggest strength of this film.
