After Kajal Aggarwal's announcement of her impending wedding to Gautam Kitchlu, fans are in a tizzy and curiosity levels are sky high about the love of Kajal's life!

So who is Gautam Kitchlu? 

The Net was abuzz with Kajal fans looking to find out about him! Well,  Gautam Kitchlu is a Mumbai -based businessman. He is of Kashmiri and Punjabi descent.

He studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and later, graduated from   Tufts University,USA,  and INSEAD. 


He moved back home to Mumbai to launch The Elephant Company, a home décor and accessories company, before setting up the Discern Living ecommerce venture in Mumbai.

Discern Living, is an interior design and home decor company located in Malad, Mumbai. He is an interiors, tech, design enthusiast.

He has several years of experience in his family's home furnishings export business and has been working with some of the largest and most well-known retailers around the world, 





He is a self-confessed foodie, and  loves to savour local delicacies around the world.

Gautam Kitchlu is a sports freak who loves tennis and running the half marathon.


He likes the work of fashion designers Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani and Arjun Khanna and international brand Canali.

He admires Apple founder Steve Jobs.

His favourite authors include Robert Ludlum and Ayn Rand.




His sister Gauri Kitchlu Nayar runs a well known PR firm Twain Communications, in Mumbai.

Gauri Kitchlu, Kajal's sis-in-law to be,  has been in the luxury lifestyle and hospitality PR industry for over 15 years. She spent over five years with a leading PR agency in Manhattan, NYC before moving back to India as the Director of Communications for The Oberoi Group, Mumbai. She has represented clients like the Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental and MGM Grand.
