  ‘Appane Muruga’ (Addressing Lord Murugan as a Fatherly Deity) is something common among people when they are distressed in lives. Now a bunch of promising team have titled the film with the same ‘Appane Muruga’.  The film is produced by R. Sathish Thangam, R.G. Sekar and Sasikumar of True Team Entertainment, and is directed by debut filmmaker Guru Ramasamy.  Lyca Productions' Indian 2 which hit theatres on Friday, is continuing to attract family audiences at a steady pace. The Kanal Haasan- Shankar combo and the hype around being a sequel to a super hit original has got viewer curiosity piqued. Despite the mixed reviews and some negative chatter on social media, the film is being well recieved. Now, the makers have decided to cut some of the length of the 180 min 04 seconds film and made it shorter by 11 min 51 seconds, giving it a crisper feel for audiences to enjoy.
