Kajal, Gautam wed after 8 year romance! Catch all the details!

Ethereal pics of the elegant and private wedding of Kajal Aggarwal and beau Gautam Kitchlu are slowly emerging on social media.

Kajal and Gautam  attended a reception for them post the wedding at the Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai.

  Kajal can be seen looking pretty in a glittering dress, with a maang sindoor and traditional red choodis of a newly- wed. Gautam is dapper in a black suit.

Kajal can be seen holding on tightly to her husband's hand in a gesture of affection as they watch a violin concert together.

For the Kashmiri meets Punjabi wedding,  Gautam himself chose the theme of the decor and sat with wedding planners and stylists to oversee details with them, incorporating a Kashmiri effect and look into the mandap and decor, albeit with a modern touch. 

Kajal's father Suman Aggarwal can be seen accompanying her to the wedding phera ceremony in other pics.

Later, pics of Kajal on social media, posing in her wedding finery  sent fans into a tizzy

Kajal posed with her family cook Vijay ( in the  black suit ) who has been with her family since her childhood,  along with her other staff. 

They also posed with their close friends.

Kajal and Gautam have tied the knot after 8 years of knowing each other.  They dated and were close friends but apparently it was the pandemic that made them realise how much they wanted to be together. Hence Kitchlu met her parents and a simple roka was held in June.

Speaking about Gautam to a mag, Kajal on her social media post revealed, "There was no proverbial getting down on one knee because Gautam is understated when it comes to romance. He’s not the filmy sort, and I am grateful for it because I have enough of that in my films. So, it wasn’t a proposal with all of the jazz, but it was an extremely heartfelt, emotional conversation between us. He was so authentic about his feelings and the way he expressed how he wanted to have a future with me; I couldn’t be more sure about spending my life with him!”

A heartfelt note by the couple with  gifts for guests added a personal touch to the classy wedding event.   

Earlier there was a pre-wedding sangeet and haldi ceremony for the bride and groom amongst their own family members in their homes as per tradition.

Later the families moved the celebrations to the French restaurant Soufflé S'il Vous Plaît at South Mumbai.

Here are beautiful moments from the roka or engagement ceremony held at home in June this year. Kajal wore a specially designed Manish Malhotra sari.

The wedding ceremony involved Kashmiri, Punjabi and even a Telugu ritual. The wedding venue was finalised at the Taj Palace, conveniently close to home,  after a lot of searching for the perfect location, after considering far out places like Alibaug, Lonavala and the like.   For those who couldnt attend, a virtual relay of the ceremony was relayed.

A traditional Telugu ritual was  added to the  rituals by Kajal, given her deep roots in Tollywood.

The duo are said to have  done a griha pravesh puja ceremony on Saturday, as they move into their new home as man and wife.  Gautam had posted pics earlier, of the ongoing decor work at thier new home.

On Saturday evening, Kajal returned to her parent's home for a few ceremonies post wedding.

The honeymoon has been kept on hold for now due to the covid situation.

Post all the excitement, the new couple Mr and Mrs Kitchlu,  are settling into their home.
