Kanam is the next prestigious and big budget production of Dream Warrior Pictures. Recently, 'Mother' Song, sung by Sid Sriram was released from the movie. The song has become an instant chartbuster. Jakes Bejoy has composed the song while Uma devi has written the lyrics.
Actor Amala Akkineni has played the vital Mother's role in the movie and is elated after the response the song has got. Speaking about the same she has expressed, "Amma song was created to immortalise the love between son and mother. Jakes Bejoy and Singer, Sid Sriram have truly created magic.
Listening to it the first time it was so soothing and melodious , I felt the whole unit of the film, Director Shree Karthick, DOP Sujit Sarang, the technitians, the actors , everyone bonded together in the emotion. But then during shoot we listen in bits and pieces.
Only now after the song released, I can listen to the whole song - and feel it in my heart. The film evolved from the love Shree Karthick had for his beloved mother…. and the song is exactly about this love.. I am sure you can feel it. It is so very beautiful and marks the coming together of immense talent , values, hope and human love.Seetarama Sastry garu wrote such beautiful lyrics and blessed us before he departed.
I feel so privileged that I could play the role of Amma In Kanam/Oke Oka Jeevitham . I am a real life mother and I treasure the position. For the time we were making the film, I became everyone’s Amma and that was so precious, I shall never forget it.
