Actor Yogi Babu’s ‘Kenatha Kaanom’ Success Meet

Yogi Babu’s Kenatha Kaanom, which recently graced the theatres, is enjoying a successful run. The film is produced by Ramesh Babu under the banner of RB Talkies and directed by Suresh Sangaiah, acclaimed for Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, who unfortunately passed away prior to the film’s release. Lovelyn Chandrashekar essays the female lead in this venture. Commemorating the film’s success, the entire cast and crew convened with members of the press and media to express their gratitude.

Actor Yogi Babu stated, “Director Suresh Sangaiah aspired for this film to reach a wide audience, and that vision has been realised today. The film has garnered a positive response during its theatrical run. A significant reason for its success is the unwavering support of our friends from the press and media. In today’s landscape, for a film to release and achieve commendable reach even in the absence of its director is possible only because of you. The press and media fraternity have consistently encouraged me to explore experimental roles and venture beyond conventional comedic portrayals. It is owing to such encouragement that I have been able to undertake diverse and meaningful roles. I extend my sincere gratitude to the producer for backing this film. Producers of his calibre are a true boon to the industry, and I hope he continues to create many more films. I shall persist in acting, choosing roles that mirror the lives and struggles of ordinary people. Thank you all.”

Actress Lovelyn Chandrashekar remarked, “This moment is one of mixed emotions: joy interwoven with a sense of loss, as we deeply miss Suresh Sangaiah sir on this occasion. As echoed by others here, I kindly urge everyone to extend support to his family wherever possible. I take this opportunity to thank each and every one for this invaluable opportunity. I am truly overwhelmed by the positive response to my performance in this film. Thank you all.”

Cinematographer V. Thiyagarajan observed, “Yogi Babu sir’s support and confidence in this project stand as one of the foremost reasons for its success. During location scouting and the construction of the house for his character, it was art director Surendar and his team who rendered it with remarkable authenticity. Their efforts in erecting a temple set remain another notable highlight. We commenced shooting during the peak of summer, under intense heat. Director Suresh Sangaiah often faced health challenges; yet, even after receiving medical drips, he would promptly return to the sets and continue working. The villagers, too, extended immense support throughout the shoot.”

Editor Ramar shared, “The absence of Suresh Sangaiah fills me with profound sorrow. At the outset, I was uncertain about the nature of the project; however, upon learning that it was helmed by the director of Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, I readily agreed to be a part of it. I express my heartfelt thanks to Yogi Babu sir for embracing this film and contributing to its success.”
