How excited were you when you came to know you were going to meet Kamal Haasan  ?  When I first got the call from Neelam Productions the previous night, asking how  I was placed the next day at 12.30 pm, I told them about a meeting I had at 12 noon. But when I was told that our Sarpatta Parambarai team was going to meet Kamal Haasan, I was so excited,  I immediately postponed everything and said‘ I’m free the whole day’ !  Silambarasan TR's   film  directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Vels International, had a first look poster release which bowled over fans and industry folks alike. The film title has been changed to Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, taken from Bharthiyar's poetry.  Now, according to a media interview published in  Chennai Times, TOI,  producer Ishari Ganesh has reportedly revealed details of the project.  The film is a rural action drama, currently being shot in Tiruchendur and will later move to Chennai and Mumbai. Simbu, who looks years younger in the poster,  has apparently lost around 15 kgs for the role and is being trained by an instructor and well be doing special stunts for a  role unlike anything he has done before.  Radhika Sarathkumar plays his mother in the film. The director of Sunny Leone’s multi-lingual Shero - Sreejith Vijayan - in a recent interview couldn’t stop raving about her hard work in the film. It’s thus no surprise that when the actress recently wrapped the film, it was an emotional moment for the whole unit. No truth in Sikhya Entertainment's claim: 2D Entertainment Co-Producer Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian 2D Entertainment Private Limited, the makers of the highly-acclaimed blockbuster Soorarai Pottru , featuring actor Suriya in the lead, have clarified that the claims being made by Sikhya Entertainment with regard to the Hindi rights of the film are untrue and incorrect. Dismissing the claims made by Sikhya Entertainment in an arbitration case filed by them before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian CEO of 2D Entertainment said that the facilitation fee as agreed have been paid in full by 2D entertainment to Sikhya Entertainment with regard to their facilitation work for the acquisition of the film's rights from Captain Gopinath.   The shooting of Lyca Group Chairman Subaskaran 's “Production No.22” starring Atharvaa Murali and Aashika Renganath in the lead roles, directed by A Sarkunam commenced this morning (August 4, 2021) in the city of Thanjavur.  The entire crew is following strict health and hygiene protocols as per the current pandemic phase.  Ever since its announcement, the  Gautham Karthik-Cheran starrer “Anandham Vilayadum Veedu” had raised expectations levels. Today, the entire crew is happy to have successfully   wrapped up the shoot of this huge project with a large ensemble cast.
