by Rinku Gupta Kerala's famed production house makes its Kollywood debut with Un Kadhal Irunthal, a psycological thriller. Directed by Haashim Marikar, the film brings together Srikanth and Chandrika Ravi ( Of Irutta Araiyil Murattu Kuthu fame). This is her third Tamil film but her  first as a female lead.  The film marks the debut in Ktown of Dulquer Salman's cousin, Maqbool Salman. A grand audio launch was held today where the director revealed that the twists in this thriller would be hard to predict. " Though kadhal is in the title, there is no love in the film," he added. Malayalam music director Mansoor Ahmed makes his Ktown debut as well. Mansoor Ali Khan and  Riaz Khan play important roles. On the occasion Haashim Marikar launched the title of his next film as well. Looks like this production house is here to stay.

'Kanaa' has raised the bar of expectations through its songs and visual promos. The screen presence of Sivakarthikeyan in a new look has created a buzz as well. There are assumptions  that Sivakarthikeyan has done a cameo, but filmmaker Arunraja Kamaraj surprises us with some details. "Everyone seems to think  that Sivakarthikeyan is doing a cameo. But the fact is that he will be seen in a much more prominent role in this film. Sivakarthikeyan always believes in doing justice to anything he is involved in. by Rinku Gupta Touted to be an adult comedy EEMI stars Vemal and Singampuli as employees in a pharmacy. But  they moonlight as thieves by night who steal petty goods from locked homes. This act lands them in trouble one day when they steal a large stash of cash from a cop's 2 houses. This results in a mad chase for the duo with cop Poorna in hot pursuit along with the pharmacy owner, another cop whose cash they stole ( Mansoor Ali Khan) and a don character thrown in. Ashna Zaveri plays a Madurai ponnu who is Vemal's neighbour  and the duo spend some steamy moments together. Adult star Miya Rai Leone plays a forceful woman from London who uses Vemal as a boy toy and joins the chase for him along  with the others. The comedy does elicit its fair share of laughs but after a while the  constant chases and repetitive beatings the duo recieve get tedious to watch in the second half. The story of Seemathurai revolves around  a college student Maruthu ( Geethan) and his mother (Viji) a fish seller in a village. While the single mother toils hard at work, her son though a college student, keeps loitering with his friends, doing nothing all day. The hero (Abhilash) is a village boy who loves to play cricket with his bunch of friends in the village playground . One day the ground is up for sale and the boys are devastated at the upcoming loss of thier means of sport and entertainment. In a gesture of goodwill the seller says he can sell it to them for a lower price. How can these boys raise 3 lakhs for the bid? Yet they manage to somehow collect 2.8 lakhs by crowd funding. by Rinku Gupta Bollywood actor Sunny Leone's relative  Miya Rai Leone will be debuting this week in Kollywood with the release of the adult comedy Evanukku Engeyo Macham Irukku. She is touted to be a cousin sister of Sunny (who it may be recalled,  is acting in Veeramadevi in Tamil.) The film stars Vemal and Ashna Zaveri as well and is produced by Sharmila Mandre, the well known Kannada actor.The film will release on Dec 7th.

Ltd. has announced its  association with HY Media, one of China's most prominent Production and Distribution companies, for the Chinese release of "2.0", the magnum opus of director Shankar, starring pan-Asian Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar. HY Media have ongoing collaborations with major Hollywood studios such as Sony, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Universal, and Disney. 2.0, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, is touted to be the biggest film in the history of Indian cinema. Dubbed and subtitled versions of 2.0 are slated to release in China in 10,000 theaters with 56,000 screens (including 47,000 3D screens) in May 2019, the widest 3D release for any foreign film in history.  Kishore, along  with the cast and crew of of the Tamil feature film Pasumai Vazhi Salai just completed an extensive schedule of shooting in various parts of Rajasthan (Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmar ),Agra (Taj Mahal) and Delhi. The team along with the lead actor Kishore travelled the length and breadth of Rajasthan and explored several locations and completed the shooting. The team travelled to several  parts of Pushkar, Ajmer (Dargah)  and also visited the eminent Chand Baori. The Chand Baori dates back to the 7th Century and previously the Batman film Dark Knight  Rises was shot on the same spot. Further the crew travelled extensively in parts of Rajasthan and several forts and palaces of Jaipur which will feature in the film. The team also explored several other locations in Agra, Jaipur which will prove to be a visual treat to the audience. ChiyaanVikram's Magnum Opus MahavirKarna started  yesterday from the land of Sree Padmanabha, Swamy,  Gods Own Country,  Kerala. The makers received a holy Temple Bell in front of the deity Sree Padmanabhaswamy at the temple. The film is directed by RS Vimal. Several dignitaries from the industry attended the ceremony. The bell is going to be a part of the 30 feet hight chariot of Karna in the movie. The shoot is to be held at Ramoji Film city at Hyderabad.
