It was being said she  was touted to essay  the role of Queen Velu Nachiyar in a period film. The much revered, 18th century  brave warrior  queen was known to be the first to wage a war with the British East India Company and is also known as Veeramangai. But now, Nayanthara's publicists have confirmed that all such rumors are baseless. Nayan who was last seen in Mookuthi Amman and is awaiting release of Netrikann, is not playing Velu Nachiyar.  A statement from her team says, "Certain news stating that Ms .Nayanthara is a  part of period film based on the life of Queen Velu Nachiyar has been circulating in  some sections of the media. Ms Nayanthara categorically denies such a movie and we voice her opinion on the same to the media. This is a baseless rumour."

Today, in a press statement from him,  came the most unexpected news. Rajini announced that he will not be entering active  politics. In his statement, he apologises to fans and  explains in detail, the reasons for this painful decision. After much speculation over an  OTT release and amidst the release uncertainty due to the Covid pandemic, the release date is finally confirmed for January 13th. The film will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and also will be Vijay's first pan -Indian release in Hindi as well, titled Vijay The Master. The film recently got a UA from the censor board. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist whole Malavika Mohanan is the female lead. The film features Thalapathy Vijay as a professor named JD. Master features Shanthnu, Ramya, Nasser, Arjun Das, Bhagyaraj, Sanjeev, Srinath and others. Xavier  Britto has bankrolled the project.

But he is taking all precautions and has put himself under isolation with  home quatantine. The actor has requested all those who have come into close contact with him in the past few days to also undergo testing.  The actor had recently celebrated Christmas with his cousins and family members and had posted pics of the same on social media.  He had also attended a family wedding at Rajasthan recently. It all happened when Vishal and Arya were shooting for an action sequence at EVP.  The actors  were shooting  for an action scene, but decided to do it  without any body double. It was  during one particular shot that Arya was grieviously  injured.  The unit rushed him to hospital where he was admitted  for  treatment.  But the good news is that after all the necessary medical attention, he was discharged. Instead of taking a break, Arya decided to go back to  the sets to complete the shoot, despite his fresh injury. The film’s title poster showed Nani  in a back pose without revealing his look. On  Christmas, the first look poster was released.  by Rinku Gupta Rajinikanth's Annaatthe ongoing shoot in Hyderabad has been halted. Producers Sun Pictures announced that during a routine check up, 4 crew members tested Covid positive. Keeping health concerns in mind, shoot has now been postponed. Superstar is said to have tested negative according to Sun Pictures tweet. Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara had also been part of the final schedule which Rajini wanted to wrap up in one go before heading to his political journey, announcing the party name on 31st December. Looks like things have been thrown out of gear.  Rajini is said to be at his hotel at the moment and has not yet returned to Chennai. Further details are awaited.
