In this, he feels that family is a burden. What happens when his son realises this?  But wait,  is this the real story, or is it something else? For that one has to watch Memories. Actor Vetri is seen in 4 different looks in the film and seems to have put his best  foot forward. But the convoluted screenplay and poor writing lets him down. After a while one ceases to be invested in his character(s) and their back stories.   Characters come and go, or change identity so fast. The staging seems amateurishly done at many places and the gloomy, rundown interiors of ' operation' rooms, the constant chases and performance of few characters, only adds to the piling disinterest.  Ayothi starring M Sasikumar, Pugazh, Preethi and Anju Asrani, hit theatres on March 3rd. It is directed by debutant Manthira Moorthy. A family from Ayodhya comes to Rameswaram for a pilgrimage. But due to the father's boorish behaviour, a fight ensues with the taxi driver which ends up in an accident in which the mother ( Anju Asrani) dies. Her timid daughter ( Preethi Asrani) and son are completely at sea about how to deal with the situations that crop up, since they don't know the local language and have no help.  The father is only dominating them and refusing to let a post mortem be done.  In the midst of this comes in a stranger (Sasikumar) who doesn't know Hindi but forms an emotional connect to the children's suffering and decides to help them take the dead body back to Ayodhya the same day by flight. A goon ( Daniel Balaji) has a bunch of young recruits who lure women in the guise of love then make  videos of intimate moments with them.  After that the gang blackmails them into prostitution with hi fi clients, much against their will. When the heroine's (Pranali) friend gets affected, she goes to her rescue helped by her boyfriend ( Ishaaon). But the racket is much bigger than the duo imagined. Can they take these villains down? The film has a noble intent at its core, namely to highlight that women have a latent power within them to fight against all odds and when they leave their fear behind and rally together, they can overthrow evil.
