Movie Review : MADHARAS MAFIA COMPANY
The film is comic drama set in Chennai. Poongavanam ( Anandraj) is the chief don with many others working under him in all sorts of nefarious activities.
A gutsy cop Thigazh Bharathi ( Samyuktha Shan) gets on the heels of his case bit Terry as she might she is unable up gather evidence.
But one day she gets lucky thanks to his daughter Veronica (Aradhya). What happens next? Is she able to nab the don?
The film mostly rambles through one comic situation after another, with actors like Munishkanth amongst others.
Anandraj is his usual self, fitting perfectly into the role, juggling every emotion, be it poker faced witty comments or lengthty witty dialogues. Samtyuktha is convincing as the tough cop and looks perfect for the part with her body language and stern expressions.
Aradhya as the tough as nails Veronica displays her histronic abilities very well as the emotionally torn daughter.
The film seems to have an interesting premise of running the crime world like a corporation, ( hence the title) but sometimes the jokes seem forced and dont draw the laughs they are meant to.
Watch out for an unusual climax.
