Audio Launch of SarathKumar starrer Aazhi held !

 

Directed by Malayalam director Madhav Rama Dasan, the film 'Aazhi' stars Sarathkumar, Indrajith Jagan, Devika Sathish, Vaiyapuri, Thamaraichelvi, Srijith Ravi and others. Anand N. Nair has handled the cinematography for the film, while Jesse Gift has composed the music and Oscar-winning Resul Pookutty has handled the sound design for the film. Touted as a crime thriller, the film is produced by Sajith Krishnan under the banner of 888 Productions and Celluloid Creations. The film is distributed across Tamil Nadu by Uthra Productions.

The audio launch of the film, which will be released in theaters worldwide from February 27th, was held in Chennai. Along with the film crew, Ravi Kotarakara, President of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, Director Udaya Sankaran, Distributors Abbas A. J, Hari Uthra participated as special guests. At this event, producer Ravi Kotarakara released the music of the film.. The special guests and the film crew who were present received the event.

Distributor Hari Uthra said, "There are many challenges in releasing good films in theaters these days. Getting good content is also a big deal. In that regard, I believe Aazhi will be a huge turning point. I have been a fan of Sarathkumar since my childhood. I have grown up watching his films. I am happy to distribute this film in which he acted. There is a big struggle in releasing low-budget films and selling them. I request all the associations fighting for the welfare of the Tamil film industry to come together and present a business model," he said.

Actress Thamarai Selvi said, "This is my first stage. I thank the director and producer for giving me the opportunity to act in this film. I participated in the Bigg Boss show from stage drama. I met Sarathkumar during the Bigg Boss show. I am meeting him only now. I am happy that I have acted in his film. I thank the director once again for letting me speak in Malayalam on the set," she said.

Actor Vaiyapuri said, "I have acted with Sarathkumar before 2001. After that, I have acted with him again only now. It is a pleasure. I have played the role of father in this film. The director asked me for a two-day call sheet to play this role. But he completed all the shooting in a single day. Malayalam directors are eager to direct a film in Tamil. 'Aazhi' is the story created by the director for that. The film will be released on February 27th. I request everyone to visit the theater, watch it, enjoy it and support it," he said.

Actress Devika Sathish said, "'Aazhi' is my third film in Tamil. I have acted as Sarath Kumar's daughter in this film. I have enjoyed watching Sarath Kumar sir's films since I was a child. Not only in the film, but also on the set, he gave me advice and treated me with love and care like a father. My teachers also like films directed by director Madhav Rama Das. Oscar-winning Rasool Pookutty has done the sound design in this film. That's why everyone likes the quality of the film. Producer Ravi Kottarakkara said, "The title of the film is Aazhi. Aazhi means sea. Do any of you know the depth of the sea? I don't know. Similarly, the depth of my friend Sarathkumar's acting is. He still keeps acting like a new person. The characters he played earlier were different. Villain, hero, lover boy, father-family man to everything. But in this he has played a different character. Today's young artists should learn a lot from him. When he listens to the story, he absorbs his character well. This is not done by 85 percent of today's actors. He is still studying and thinking about each character. In each film he has released recently, the character he has played is different. Similarly, he has played a different role in this film.

Producer Sajith Krishnan is the distributor of my Malayalam film, which was released in Kerala 26 years ago. He is a very experienced person. He has produced this film. I also congratulate him.

Director Madhav Rama Dasan said, "This is the first film I have directed in Tamil. Before this, I have directed three films in Malayalam, namely 'Mel Vilasam', 'Apothageri' and 'Ilaiyaraaja'. Out of these, I wanted to make 'Ilaiyaraaja' in Tamil. It has been my long-standing desire to direct a film in Tamil. The time has now come and the tide has turned. Sound is essential for this story, which takes place 70 percent in the sea. For this, we asked Rasool Pookutty, who has international experience. He also happily agreed and has been working on the quality sound system of the film till now.

A dog also plays a role in this film. He worked hard for its sound. While recording the dog's barking sound accurately, his mic was damaged. He has worked so meticulously. The character of the dog in this film and its sound system will captivate the audience. After watching this film, everyone will feel like they have actually gone to the ocean.

I first told this story to Sarathkumar. He was the one who agreed to play the role after realizing the difference in his character. There are many variations in his character. Even during the shooting, he would contact me at 3 am and ask questions about his character. I would explain them. Sarathkumar has shown such commitment to the character. He has also played a negative shade in the film.

Sound engineer Rasool Pookutty said, "I have enjoyed and celebrated many films starring Sarathkumar during my college days. When I saw him again on screen for this film, I was amazed to see him looking as youthful as ever. I am amazed at how he has not aged or lost his youthfulness. He is always active as an actor, a loving father, and a company president. He takes everything in stride. This is what Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kamal Haasan also follow."
As Indrajith mentioned about Sarathkumar, today's young generation of artists should learn from his discipline. He does his work like a penance, with proper diet, exercise, dedication, hard work, respect, punctuality, acting in front of the camera. He guides the story through the character he plays in this film.

I have worked with different people in different languages. I have worked in Hindi cinema and South Indian cinema. The main difference between the two is that in South Indian cinema, they take care of every scene. They care about the cinema. I have mixed this film three times. Such a bold approach is only available to South Indian filmmakers and directors. The producers and technicians here celebrate the director. They support the director.

They are also the ones who gauge the mood of the mainstream audience. They trust in technology, artistic beauty, story, screenwriter, director, and technical artists. This is why Tamil cinema, Malayalam cinema, Marathi cinema, and Bengali cinema are growing. I am the best example of this.

Actor Sarathkumar said, "The director of this film, Madhav Rama Dasan, came to narrate the story. Before he came, I had already seen his film 'Mel Vilasam'. He narrated the entire story. It is a different story. It mostly takes place on a fishing boat. The sea is mostly in the screenplay. I asked him how you would portray this on screen. When he said that we have planned it completely, I knew his dedication. He built a ship the size of a fishing boat inside the theater and used hydraulic technology to operate it. So I see this film as a different film."

Many films have commercial elements like dance, songs, and grandeur. But this one doesn't have grandeur like dance songs. But the story is grand.

Today's audiences enjoy watching and enjoying a variety of films. They act in shorts and reels released on cell phones. Due to this, there is confusion for actors whether to act in reels, shorts, web series, television or the big screen. But no actor needs this kind of confusion. Because acting is acting no matter what. So you can act in anything. There is no need for any confusion. We have to keep changing with the flow of time. My friend Rasool Pookutty's contribution to this film is strong. This is a film that emphasizes sound. I wish him many more Oscars for his dedication. The film features a Belgian Malinois. Rasool worked with his team for two days to accurately record the dog's voice. There is a fight scene with the dog in the film. That will also be great.
