Movie Review : Andha 7 Naatkal

 A young boy, Aditya ( Ajitej) son of an aspiring MLA, is studying to be an astrophycist. One day, he buys an antique telescope and uses it to study a rare solar eclipse. Ever since that day,  he is able to predict the death of anyone just by looking into their eyes. After research he finds that this is due to the 300 year old, mysterious,  cursed telescope. 


As a result he is scared of looking into people's eyes. One day he discovers the same premonition when he looks into his girlfriend's eyes and knows that she is going to die in 7 days.

What happens next? Is he able up save her?

The film has an interesting fantasy plot with a high suspense quotient, maintained by the director in the screenplay. The making is rich with superb visuals in the second half in the Kodaikanal portions.The well paced out screenplay, moves the story steadily forward, leaving no room for boredom. There is romance, comedy and suspense all in a well presented format in what is essentially a love story. The second half has an unforseen twist to watch out for. 


The actors have  performed well, with hero Aijtesh doing a splendid  job as the intense lover  with a deep sense of loyalty and responsibility. Shriswetha who debuts as well delivers a convincing act. The duo really shine in the pre climax and climax scenes. 

Bhagyaraj as the minister plays a different role as the vengeful minister while Namo Narayana as the plotting, aspiring MLA adds to the comedic element.

However the film takes  a dramatic turn in the second half which is not for the faint hearted. The film seems to be going in a certain direction, before it takes an unusual turn.

Overall, a suspenseful, emotional fantasy with a different plot, twists and racy screenplay and credible performances.

Movie Review : Virundhu

 Perly ( Nikki Galrani ) finds her life spinning out of control when her father,  businnessman John Abraham ( Mukesh) is killed in a car accident and soon after  her mother, Elisabeth, too  dies in a similar accident. When her life too is in danger, her dad's close friend Bala ( Baiju Santosh)takes her to a safe place.  But when danger is still close on her heels, she finds refuge in the remotely located hillside home of a stanger ( Arjun Sarja ). Who is this stranger? Who is behind the deaths of her parents? Does Perly discover the truth and get justice for her parents? Film Review: 7G The Dark Story

 Varsha ( Smruthi Venkat) and her husband Rajiv move into their own new flat numbered 7 G, with their son. At the house warming party, Rajiv's ex girlfriend Nisha does a witchcraft on their son Rahul and the family because she wants Rajiv back in her life.  Soon some eerie events create havoc in the happy family.  One day,  the truth behind the happenings is revealed. The ghost haunting them is none other than Manjula ( Sonia Agarwal) who had lived there previously with her son.
