Film Review : Theerkadharisi

Theerkadharisi starring Ajmal Amir, Jaya Dusshyanth, Jaiwanth, Sathyaraj, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sriman and others, hit screens on May 5th.

The story revolves around a mysterious caller who gives the police tips about impending crimes, just as they are about to take place.  The cops are forced to start believing him after deaths pile up.

3 cops ( Ajmal, Jaya Dusshyanth, Jaiwanth) are assigned to find out the the truth. Is the man a messiah ? How does he know so much? Do the cops find the truth behind the crimes?

The storyline is different from the usual crop of stories on screen. The screenplay is racy with events keeping you invested. The cast does a good job of it with stallar performances all around. Jaya Dusshyanth who returns to the screen does justice to his role while Ajmal fits into the cop body language lending credibility to his role.

Watch out for a twist at the end.

On the flip side,  things tend to get repetitive after similar events keep piling up. The bgm is too loud in places, drowning out key dialogues and is almost continuous, leaving little room for the viewer to absorb things.

The making is good and Sathyaraj and Poorima Bhagyaraj add value with their presence. The climax scene is interesting with a good message.
