Atlee all set for Jawan release on Sep 7th!

After Kollywood blockbusters, director Atlee is all set for the grand release of his Bollywood directorial debut with the Shahrukh Khan starrer Jawan. The film is set for a grand September 7th release across several languages including Tamil. Advance bookings  are already humungous all across and the film has created a  huge buzz. SRK himself flew down to Chennai for the grand trailer launch.

The director met sections of the Chennai cinema press and media for a casual interaction at his plush office in the heart of the  city.

The director plans to catch the film FDFS at iconic Rohini theatre Chennai with music director  Anirudh and then watch the Hindi version at Gaiety cinema in  Mumbai the same evening.

He is all praise for Shahrukh Khan regarding the film,  "When SRK first came to my office in Chennai when he flew down for a cricket match, he spent several hours here with us.  After he gave the green signal to the project, and covid struck,  theatre footfalls were affected. But at no point did he hesitate.  He assured me  that he would make this film for a grand theatrical release. All along, his support has been instrumental in making me comfortable in the Bollywood set up. He has been like a protective umbrella shielding me and our team from any pressures of a new industry," says Atlee.

With a whole bunch of technicians and actors being from Tamil, including Anirudh Ravichander, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani and Yogi Babu, in the film,  Shahrukh was ok with Atlee's choices all through, both as actor and producer. "We could not have done this without his complete faith and support."

The film is all out actioner, which is something Shahrukh wanted. "PBut at its core, Jawan has an integral Indian emotion that every one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari will identify with and will be moved by, " signs off Atlee.
