Movie Review: BP 180
What happens when an upright government hospital doctor Thangam ( Tanya Ravichandran) gets into the cross hairs of a criminal Arnold (Daniel Balaji) over the issue of a post mortem and the mayhem that ensues?
Egos clash, leading to a burning idea of revenge that spirals out of control. Who wins?
Tanya stands out with an impressive performance, holding her own and making a mark with strong dialogues and an impeccable act.
Daniel Balaji as usual, shines in his intense portrayal of a dreaded villain.
The supporting cast of Aruldoss, Tamizh, Bhagyraj and others are a plus.
There are some questions like how the baddie changes over in a jiffy or why Thangam and Arnold each go to such extremes? But there are engaging portions aplenty such as Tanya's interval scene or the climax portions that make up for inconsistencies in the fast paced screenplay and story.
Ghibran's music stands out but the almost constant bgm could have been toned down.
BP180 is a crimial thriller that engages the viewer with its spiralling highs and, solid performances, intense moments and a rivetting screenplay.
