Movie Review : Mustafa Mustafa

Karthik ( Sathish) and Vasu (Suresh Ravi) are colleagues and good friends in a tv channel. Karthik falls in love with a doctor, Steffy (Monica Chinnokotla).

One day,  Karthik gets into trouble over a viral video clip, involving him and a girl( Aishwarya Dutta) in a bedroom scene, shot as a film teaser for his  movie debut.

But Karthik is afraid that his bride- to- be will reject him and not believe the truth that it was for a film scene and not an affair. In order to hide it all he attempts to have the video deleted by a hacker Chitty ( Karunakaran).

Does Karthik manage to succeed? What happens to his wedding plans? Who is behind all this?

The film has an interesting premise, based on a contemporary  issue, that of viral videos and how they can affect people's lives.

Sathish does a neat job playing the man afraid of losing his love,  all with his perfect comic timing and the right expressions.  The pairing with Monica looks good on screen. The friendly capers with Suresh Ravi add to the humor in the film.

The film gathers pace further, when Karunakaran enters the story and those portions add to the entertainmemt quotient. Aishwarya Dutta as the feisty actor in the clip is  aptly cast and does  neat job. Pugazh makes his presence felt in cameo. Bigg Boss Parvathi is also part of the cast.

On the flip side, there is one song with Sathish and Suresh Ravi which seems to go overboard in the name of 'humor'  and could perhaps have been avoided.

The viral clip seems to be played too many times, getting repetitive.

But the viewer is in for some unexpected  twists along the way which adds to the momentum of the film.   Watch out for the climax portions.

Overall a fun ride which can be watched with friends. Light-hearted entertainment with a good cast, energetic performances, good visuals and  trendy making, all neatly packaged for some timepass entertainment.
