Grand audio launch of the movie 'Habibi'!
The audio launch of the film 'Habibi', produced by Nesam Entertainment, GKS Pros Productions & Romeo Pictures and directed by Meera Kathiravan and starring Kasthuri Raja, Malavika Manoj and others, was held.
Actor Parthiban said, "The beautiful line 'Anpin Viayathu Vaiyathnilay' shows how this film is. Love cannot be bought no matter how much you pay. The reason we are all here is the love we have for Meera Kathiravan. Director Ram is keen on taking good films to a good place. He is the one who insisted that I watch the film 'Habibi'. Meera Kathiravan is one of the very few who thinks of giving good stories beyond making money. She is a very natural filmmaker. I was very saddened to hear that producer Rajan committed suicide today. When I asked producer Thenappan, he did not lack for facilities. But he said that he would be lonely. We need someone who can talk to us affectionately above a certain age. 'Habibi' will be a film that will love us all. All the technicians have worked well. Kasthuri Raja is the reason why I got the film 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. He has given a natural performance in this film. At this moment, I also congratulate the Honorable Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. I agree. It is the faith of the individual that has won and kept him in this position. He will definitely do good for cinema. Congratulations to Meera Kathiravan and the film."
Actor Samuthirakani said, "It is not an ordinary thing to make and release a film like this. So many people have gathered here for Meera Kathiravan. May this film bring her success. The film will definitely be emotional. All the things that are suitable for today's times are in this film. Definitely watch it."
Director Magizh Thirumeni said, "I have seen the film 'Habibi'. Congratulations to the film crew. There is a pressure and pressure in the film industry to keep up with the times, according to today's trends and social conditions. But, there are some other films. They are very close to our lives. 'Habibi' is one such film. It is an honor that my friend Meera Kathiravan has written this. It talks about men who move from country to country for a living, their families who suffer from separation from them, handloom weavers whose industry is affected by mechanization, and the breakdown of the joint family. This film is for the Tamil community. This film documents a period, lifestyle, and culture. The film features the character of a self-reliant woman wearing a hijab who makes her own decisions. Tamil cinema should create opportunities for people like Meera Kathiravan, Thamira, Lenin Bharathi to continue making films. I will work as an assistant to Kasthuri Raja. The time I worked with him is the treasure of my life. Rahul made this film Publishing is its greatest strength. Congratulations to everyone."
Director Ganesh K Babu said, "There is a lot of pressure on us to direct a second film after the first one. In such a situation, I was surprised when I saw the trailer of this film. I am happy to be on this stage where there are directors who are trying their best to give good films. In today's environment, there is a need for the film 'Habibi' to be released. Films for the Islamic community do not come much in Tamil. When I watch this film, I can relate. Congratulations to all the team."
Director Hariharan Ram said, "It's a pleasure to be on this stage with directors I have watched and admired. This is truly Malavika's debut film. I am a fan of Meera Kathiravan's films. Congratulations to the team."
Director Dinakaran Sivalingam said, "Congratulations to Meera Kathiravan. My family is also involved in the handloom industry. This film has shown that life in detail. This film has inspired subsequent directors to show their lives and backgrounds without any mental inhibitions. This film will be well received by the audience commercially as well. This is a very important film."
Director Avinash said, "When I saw this film on the special show, I felt like they were speaking Tamil in an Iranian film. It is special that the director has cast newcomers in this film without any background. I am sure the fans will like it too."
Director Suresh Rajakumari said, "This film about Muslim brothers in Tamil has done well. It is important that this film is released in theaters. Congratulations to director Meera Kathiravan and the filmmakers."
Producer Thenappan said, "Everyone who has seen this film has said that it has been excellent. Director Meera Kathiravan will surely live up to that hope. Congratulations to the film crew."
Director Cheran said, "I have seen this film. I felt like a character in it. Every director should come to Chennai to make such a good film. Congratulations to director Meera Kathiravan, who has worked so hard on every frame of the film. This film itself is like a novel. No one can predict what the next scene will be. These kinds of films, which show life and social change, are the ones that will make us feel and organize. The entire technical team has done a great job. All the critics should give fair reviews. Congratulations."
Director Zakaria Mohammed said, "I have seen many Tamil films. I am happy that films like this are coming. It is a proud moment to be on this stage with many directors whom I have admired. This film should be released in Kerala theaters as well. Of course, we have our support. Congratulations to the team."
Director Suchinthran said, "I don't have any Muslim friends. I was amazed to see the lifestyle shown in the film 'Habibi'. Congratulations to Meera Kathiravan, Kasthuriraja and the film crew. This has come out as a film suitable for all communities. Congratulations."
Director Leena Manimekalai said, "It is a joy to see Meera Kathiravan's many years of hard work now coming to fruition. This film is a strong cultural movement. It has been many years in the making in Tamil cinema. This is more of a film about three generations of women than an Islamic film. I am satisfied with it. I wish this film success financially as well."
Director Vetrimaaran said, "'Habibi' is an important film for me too. It speaks to the lives, dreams, losses, and pains of the Islamic community. Even though it is a period film, it is still relatable. All the actors have lived the story. Congratulations."
Actor Nasser said, "I still haven't recovered from the impact of watching the film 'Habibi'. This will be everyone's favorite story."
Director Durai said, "It is a joy to see so many people come together for this film. No film has shown the lives of Muslims in such detail. We need to take this film to the next level. We need your support for that. Sam CS's music is a huge strength for the film. Congratulations to the crew."
Thaweka MLA Mustafa said, "Congratulations on the success of this film. I haven't seen films since 2007. But I will definitely watch 'Habibi'. Chief Minister Vijay will also definitely watch it."
Singer Sathyan said, "I really like director Meera Kathiravan's film Aval Peer Tamilarasi. The poster itself says that the film will be a huge success. Congratulations to the team."
Director Pandiraj said, "Meera and I worked with Thangar Bachchan sir. So, we are close friends. This film should be a commercial success as well."
Director Ameer said, "Generally, the Islamic community keeps films aside. Apart from the fact that this is a film about such a community, many people from that community have also participated in this festival today. Habibi means love and romance. Only those who have lived such a life can make this film. I do not agree with the idea of briefing it as a film about the Islamic community. It is a film about a community that the Tamil community has forgotten to make. In Indian politics, Muslims are terrorists. This is where I have met so many directors after the film 'Vazaai'. Apart from this being a film for the Islamic community, it is a film for the Tamil community. Congratulations on the success of the film."
Director Mysskin said, "I don't like to summarize this as a Muslim film. I have a question about which is a good film, which is a commercial film, which is a must-see film. The black film has just been released and is a hit. Happy! 'Habibi' is a film that should be a hit. I cried after watching a good romantic film after a long time. Meera Kathiravan has made this film for her mother and father. Loving someone you don't know is kindness. This film taught me that. Kasthuri Raja sir has acted three times better than Dhanush. This is a film that should be selected and watched. May all the gods make this film light."
Director Kasthuri Raja said, "I have immense love for Meera Kathiravan. You can see a director like her, a hard worker and a creator. But it is rare to see a human being like her. I have never acted before. But Meera Kathiravan put her faith in me. I am a thousand percent Hindu. Meera Kathiravan's story changed me from that to a Muslim. This event is like a rebirth for me. I have not seen this film yet. Because I have not yet recognized myself as an actor. So I have to go to the theaters and watch it with the people as the people. This film will give good results to Meera Kathiravan's struggle. This film has given me the hope that I will be in cinema as long as I live in my career. The name 'Manitan' is true for everyone born on earth. Everything else is a lie."
Director Ranjith said, "Our society has many faces. But we don't understand anyone properly. There have been many films about the majority here. I have come to know about the lives of Muslims to some extent through literature and Malayalam cinema. This is an important film in Tamil cinema. Tamil cinema fans will definitely like it too."
Actor Esha said, "Thank you to all the directors who came to the festival. Thank you to the producer and director Meera Kathiravan for giving me the opportunity. I have the same respect for my father as I have for Kasthuriraja sir. The film needs your support."
Actress Malavika Manoj said, "This is my first film in Tamil. Congratulations to the entire crew."
Music composer Sam C.S. said, "I got the opportunity to compose music for this heart-touching story amidst the violence-filled films. Meera and I have fought a lot. But now we are good friends. I thank Meera Kathiravan for giving me the opportunity to work on this film. The entire crew has done a great job. Kasthuri Raja's performance is waiting for a big award."
Director Ram said, "I think this is the first time you will see so many Islamic names in a single Tamil film. This is a Muslim film that does not have a green amulet, does not go to butchery, and does not show people making biryani. This is a film that can change the entire image we have built about the Muslim community. This is the first original Tamil Islamic cinema to be released in Tamil. I pray for the success of the film."
Director Meera Kathiravan said, "Thank you to all the technicians who worked on the film. When I told them that Kasthuri Raja sir is acting in the film, many people said that if it is Muslim, they will be red. This film will change many such images. I did not direct this film. I have kept it as a suspense. Similarly, another person is important for this film. When I came to cinema and changed my real name to Meera Kathiravan, many questions arose. Meera is my mother's name. I changed it to Kathiravan because I wanted a Tamil identity. In Agraharam, an Iyengar gave me a house for Mohammed Yusuf's story. Love and humanity transcend religion and caste and are beyond everything. 'Habibi' is a film that can speak of such love. This film was directed by me. Kasthuri Raja sir gave excellent cooperation and acted. The entire crew has acted well. Watch the film and support it."
