Prime Video readies for release of web series 'Vadhandhi Season 2: The Mystery of Money' starring Sasikumar .!
A press conference was held in Chennai to promote the web series 'Vadhandhi Season 2: The Mystery of Money', starring Sasikumar in the lead role, produced by Wallwatcher Films and produced by Pushkar-Gayathri, which will be available on Prime Video from August 7th.

Especially when Sasikumar plays the role... it felt like the story was written to suit him. Also, many new young talents have been introduced in this web series. The support of Amazon Prime Video was excellent as always. This series will also appeal to fans from all walks of life.
While director Andrews was writing the story of Vadanti Season 1... he had the idea for Season 2. Season 1 - should be a story... should be a crime. It should take place in a town. Season 2 - another crime. He said that it can be told in the backdrop of Madurai. This was the first pleasant surprise for us. Director Andrews is not from Madurai. However, he stayed in Madurai for several months to get to know the plot better. He studied their activities and then finalized the screenplay. This also made us happy. He has described this on screen through small details. Only then can the audience easily travel with the character of Musa Raza.
I was also extra happy when I finished writing the character of Musa Raja and was told that I could negotiate with Sasikumar for this. We both celebrated the first day of Sasikumar's 'Subramaniapuram' and watched the first scene. Since then, I have had the desire to work with Sasikumar.
Madurai backdrop - Sasikumar plays the role - but there is no Aruval.... no knife... no blood... that's what I thought at first. But if you talk to Sasikumar for a few minutes... you will realize that he is suitable for the role of Musa Raja. So kind. So humble. So unflinching.
From the moment we started working on Vadanti Season 2, everything kept surprising us. Be it the story... be it the characters... be it the music... everything gave us joy.
After Vadanti Season 1, director Andrews took a lot of time to write the screenplay for Season 2. This is the third story he has written and completed for Season 2. That is why Vadanti Season 1 was released and Season 2 is about to be released after 4 years.

I think the challenge for me is to direct and make Season 2 a success in this moment when there are more expectations than when I directed Season 1 of Vadhanthi... when there were no expectations.
Before writing this story and submitting it to Amazon Prime Video, I submitted it to the directors Pushkar and Gayathri. They kept encouraging me to add something new. Add something. Keep adding something... I don't know about their difficulties after completing the screenplay. Because I was only focused on creating it. They were the ones who brought everything together and integrated it. For this, I express my heartfelt gratitude to them at this moment.
During the shooting days that were being shot to make a full-length film... there was a need to shoot for three films. For this, not only the producers but also everyone involved in this effort gave their full cooperation with dedication.
When the audience watches this series, everyone will travel into the story of Vadanthi Season 2. But to create that world, we shot continuously for 43 days in Madurai- Karaikudi- Ramanathapuram- Trichy. Everyone worked continuously for 18 hours. Everyone was confident that Vadanthi Season 2 would be good. Thank you to everyone for this.
Thanks to SJ Surya for making Vadhanthi Season 1 a huge success. The way SJ Surya handled the character in Season 1 left a lasting impression on the fans.
When I approached Sasikumar to narrate the story for Vadanthi Season 2, I had not written the entire story. When I met him in Madurai and narrated the story, he immediately agreed to act without any delay. After that, he said, "Come and complete the entire screenplay and come." Once he agreed to act, I once again started writing the character of Musa Raza for him. This is the biggest difference between Vadanthi Season 1 and Season 2.
I have to mention the composer Simon. The music for Vadanti Season 1 is different. The music for Season 2 is different. He also tells the story in a way. When I close my eyes and watch an episode of this series... the music tells the story. He is so artistic. So I thank him at this moment, too.

The director met me in Madurai and told me the story of Vadanthi 2. As soon as I heard the title, I thought I was going to play the role of Mani. Since I am from Madurai, people would think of Mani as a rowdy. I have also acted in more than 30 films so far. No one thought of making me play a policeman. I asked the director two or three times. Am I playing the role of Mani? Or am I playing the role of a policeman, Musa Raja? I asked. He said that you are playing the role of a policeman, Musa Raja. Since the story was written in the backdrop of Madurai, I listened to the whole story. If this character has been developed so well... it is because of the hard work of director Andrews.
As soon as I became a police officer, I thought I should put on that dress and walk around majestically. But the director said I shouldn't act like that. I should be natural. He would often remind me that the character is an ordinary police officer in Madurai. I also liked the story he told. It's a story about a police officer fighting to save an innocent person. The story of Vadanti Season 2 moves from the police point of view.
In the stories in the investigated thriller genre that have been released so far, there is always a sense of excitement about finding the culprits. But in this series, "Pavam Hero ..!", there is a sense of excitement that the police will somehow find the culprit and set him free.
Even more so, Vadanti Season 1 starring SJ Surya was a huge hit. It has nothing to do with this series. However, this series will also be something new. I think I will play a lot of police roles after this web series is released.
I struggled a lot to play this character. During the shoot, even if I smiled slightly at some point... the director would keep telling me that the character Musa Raza would not smile. It was a bit difficult for two days after the shoot started. After that, I got used to it. Whatever the director told me to do while playing this character..! I did only that," he said.
