Movie Review: Dont Trouble The Trouble

The film marks Fahadh Faasil's entry into Tollywood as a solo lead.

Suri ( Fahadh Faasil) is an ambulance driver who will go the extra mile to make a fast buck, not caring about consequences. Shortcuts are ok for him and he doesnt mind tricking even close friends to make some money.

Into his life comes Divya ( Ssara Palekar) and ĥer doggie, Snoopy. Soon Suri finds himself at the centre of her worlsld as she thinks he is a great magician who can restore her lost parents to her. But soon things, take a turn when Suri uncovers an eerie truth that shakes him up.

Who is Divya? Where are her parents? Can Suri live up to her expectations? Can the adept trickster he escape the bind he finds himself in this time?

Fahadh and Ssara are the soul of the film  and their growing bond form the highlight portions of thr film.  Children at whom the film is aimed, will find the magic tricks of Suri and the innocent joys of Ssara, quite entertaining.

The solid set designs add to the atmosphere of the story, be it Suri's home or the areas they frequent in the film.  The visuals and vfx are top notch as is the color palette of the film.

Fahadh in a lighter avatar is a delight to watch and Ssara, is undoubtedly a promising actor, who brings a brightness to the screen with her earnestness and sincere performance. Together , the duo are a delightful watch.

The film takes a sombre turn towards the climax with a twist, the bond between Suri and Divya is cemented in an unexpected way.

The film seems stretched at various points and some of the beatings scenes and melodrama could have been toned down.

However, the film scores with magical moments, the growing bond between Suri and Divya (and the doggie which is an endearinh highlight), the character arc of Suri and the innocence of Divya.

An enjoyable family entertainer, directed by Shashank Yeleti and presented by SS Rajamouli.
