Success meet of Vijay Sethupathi's movie 'Baththa held'!

'Baththa' is a movie directed by Balaji Tharanitharan and released on October 1st, starring popular actor Vijay Sethupathi, Lijomol Jose, Harikrishnan, Shanthi Balachandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Sai Prithviraj, Sahasra, Ajay Ghosh, and Deepa Venkat.

Sai Abhyankar composed the music for the film, while Selvakumar S.K. handled the cinematography. Editing: R. Kalaivanan. Presented by Atlee, it was produced by Murad Khedani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain & Ajith Andare on behalf of Star Studio18, A for Apple Studios, and Cine 1 Studios Production.

Starting as an action film, the film 'Batha', which has an interesting story that unfolds to reveal human emotions, is on the path of success, receiving critical acclaim from the media and increasing its box office. To share the joy of this success, the team of 'Batha' met with journalists on the occasion of the 'Success Meet'.

Speaking at the event, Selvakumar, the film's cinematographer, said:

"First of all, I thank Atlee Anna for giving me this opportunity. I have learned from every film. In that sense, I have learned from directors Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rajumurugan and Balaji Tharanitharan. Not only that, I have also learned from him that one should not desire anything in life and should live simply. I have learned from him that one should eat by 6 pm, go to bed early, and sleep peacefully without using cell phone connections.

"Vijay Sethupathi sir acted brilliantly. Siruvan Sai surprised me with his acting. Lijomol is a great actor. My eyes watered during the shooting of the song 'Magale'," he said.

Speaking about the film's production designer, Muthuraj,

"Everyone in this film acted wonderfully. Sai composed not only the songs wonderfully, but also the background music wonderfully. This film had many unexpected things. It was happy that there was no negativity in this film, and the reviews were coming in. It is rare in this era where only negativity is being spread. It is happy. Producer Atlee has taken this forward. He should do more films like this. There should be good films like this; it was amazing how he acted in the role of Vijay Sethupathi sir by showing small techniques. Especially, he had transformed into that character in that bathroom scene. The scene where that little boy Sai cries and speaks like a confession at the end would have been wonderful. It would have been heartbreaking even without the background music. Lijomol would have also acted very subtly. Everyone who acted in the film would have acted well," he said.

Speaking about the film's poster designer Gopi Prasanna,

"I wanted to give this film a retro feel. I liked the geographical setting of this film. That was an inspiration for me. That's what gave it that look. Vijay Sethupathi's first look was amazing. Thank you to everyone who gave me a chance in this film," he said.

Lyricist KK Nagar Gana Jeeva speaks,

"Thank you to everyone who gave me the opportunity to sing in this film. I don't have anything more to say. The sentimental scenes in this film are good," he said.

Speaking about the film's co-dialogue writer Karan Karky,

"This stage has been a dream of mine for 16 years. I have a dream about cinema to that extent. So far, I have written eight novels and a collection of short stories. I have won 16 awards. But now I have got what I didn't get in everything. Now everyone is asking for a treat. At first, when the director offered this film, I was hesitant. Because, in general, I have a dislike for one thing about Tamil cinema. That they misrepresent the Chennai dialect. There are many layers in Chennai dialects. What is spoken in Chinthadirippettai, they will not be spoken in Vyasarpadi. The Royapuram dialect is different.

I was surprised to hear that they were asked to find the root of this Chennai dialect and use some words. They listened and understood the meaning of the words used.

"The script itself is enough to be used as a lesson for a training center," he said.

Actor Harikrishnan speaks,

"I am very happy to be participating in this program. Thank you very much to everyone. Thank you for being in a good film, for giving me the opportunity to participate. Thank you for acting with Vijay Sethupathi Anna and for giving me the space I deserve. Good positive feelings are being created for this film. The reason for that is the good soul called Atlee," he said.

When actor Balamurugan speaks,

"This is my first film. Before this, I was in the media and watching cinema shows. Now I am on this stage. I am grateful to the director for giving me the opportunity. I learned a lot from Vijay Sethupathi Anna," he said.

Actor Arjun Chidambaram speaks,

"Thank you to the people of Tamil Nadu for welcoming Vanthaar. 'Patha' is an important film for all of us. It was a confidence-building film while telling the story, and a surprise when acting. I continued to follow what the director said during the shoot. This film is an example of how if you believe in a good story, it will bring you everything. This film has come as a film that alleviates the longing for good cinema. I am happy to have been a part of it."

When actor Vishnu speaks,

"I have come here from Malayalam. I don't know what to say. If you ask me, I will tell you three things. First, rather than choosing art, art should choose us. Next, we should work hard; we should be silent. Third, we should not talk; our film should speak. These are the three things I have learned. If you like my performance in this film, give me a chance," he said.

Producer Murad Ghetani speaks,

"Thank you Atlee for including me in this production. I am happy to be a part of this great crew. Thank you to the director, Vijay Sethupathi, Muthuraj and everyone. This is a very important film for us. Everything about this film has been so positive. No other film has received such a welcome," he said.

When heroine Lijo Mol Jose speaks,

"I was very nervous at the audio launch of this film. Now that tension has subsided. I am very grateful to the people who accepted this film. I am very grateful to the people who accepted me in the role of Kannima. I am happy. First of all, I thank the producer Atlee. I also thank the other producers. Every department that worked on this film has given their best. I should appreciate everyone. I am proud to have acted in this film. From shooting to dubbing, the director patiently advised me and got me the job. I am grateful for his patience. Just seeing Vijay Sethupathi sir makes me feel scared. But being near him makes me feel like magic. I was also close to that magic and I am proud to have seen it. The space and freedom he gives to his fellow artists surprised me. The boy Sai is very talented. Sahasra also acted well. The song 'Sella Magale' was wonderful with Sai Abhyankar's music. This film should reach everyone. It should be watched more and more. Those who have seen it should tell those who have not seen it. Help this film become more and more successful."

When the little girl Sahasra speaks,

"Thank you for choosing me for the role of Thenmozhi. Thank you to the people who made this film a big hit. Thank you to all the producers, including producer Atlee sir. Thank you to the director who patiently taught me and made me act. Thank you to Vijay Sethupathi. This is a good film that gives a good feeling," he said.

Sai Prithviraj, who plays the role of Sabari, speaks,

"This is my first film, my first journey. It is a mixture of fear and joy. It was the same during the shoot. On one hand, I was scared and on the other hand, I was happy. But everyone took good care of me. Even though I was moving around on the set, everyone took good care of me for those 60 days. The director made me act beautifully. It was scary when I was acting with Sethu sir. Even though I was happy while acting on the shoot, I was afraid not to show that joy on my face. He treated me like a friend. He was fun. He scolded me sometimes. But he kept telling me to study hard," he said.

Music composer Sai Abhyankar speaks,

"I had many feelings when I decided to compose the music for this film. I believe that two or three actors in this film will win a National Award. Even the cab drivers had acted so well. They had acted so well that it was impossible to tell who had acted better. At first, the director did not believe me. He wanted to use someone else to do it. I made him believe in me through each song. Only then did he agree to compose the background music. Sethu Anna had acted wonderfully. Lijo Akka had also acted well. Atlee Anna believed in me when I first told the story. I did not believe in me. But he believed in me. He said that you will compose the music for my second film as well. I think it will turn out well."

Director Balaji Tharanitharan speaks,

"Thank you to the three producers for giving me this opportunity. What I lack, Atlee has more, is that positive attitude. I first told the story to Sethu. He wouldn't just say okay because he's a friend. He liked it, so he took me to Atlee. I can tell you from my experience in the films I've worked with Vijay Sethupathi. He has proven that he is a director's actor."

Lijo Mol arrived just three days into the shoot. When she arrived, there was great confidence. There was a belief that whatever happens, will happen well. She gave her honest contribution. She is a great actress. Little Sai has a childish nature. It is enough not to make him act. I thought that if that childishness comes out properly, it will turn out well. That is how it came out. The little girl Sahasra, who came and won praise in Siddha, also acted well. All the technicians who participated in this film believed in this film. That became a responsibility in the film. Its effect is right. An experienced person named Muthuraj was very helpful in bringing the world of the 80s. In this way, everyone has a role to play, including the talented cinematographer and the wonderful editor.

I was a little scared to compose music for Sai Abhyankar at first. But he removed that fear and instilled confidence. After that, I asked him to compose the background score. He took the film to another level. Not only that, the costume designer Shruti Manjari, despite being young in age, brought all the 80s costumes right. The designer Gopi is incredibly talented.

"There are so many people who worked behind this film. Thank you to everyone," he said.

Lyricist Karthik Netha speaks,

"It's been a long journey. This film is a film that brought art into commercial films. The success of this film makes me happy and proud. Balaji Tharanitharan is a director who can transcend commercialism and do art."

This film is close to my heart because it reflects my life. If the song in the film had received even a little praise when he sang it, he wouldn't have raised his knife.

"That's how my life changed. I've changed from being a drug addict. Good films are like good books. This film is one of those films," he said.

Think Music Santosh speaks,

"We have been associated with Vijay Sethupathi sir in all his important films, starting from 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkath Kaanom'. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be associated with this film as well," he said.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi speaks,

"I feel like I have a fever right now. If I'm really happy, I get a fever. There are so many people I want to thank. I don't know who to start with. First of all, thank you very much to the press and media friends for taking this film this far. When you bring a film and show it to you and wait, it's like sending your wife to give birth and waiting outside anxiously."

If you had come with all your faces blooming, our entire garden would have been full of flowers that day. Let us come happily. Let us come with celebration. It was a joy when you stood, applauded, shook hands, hugged, and carried me. Thank you to the people and the fans. Thank you very much to the beloved people and my fans who are celebrating this film as if it were their own.

If you like it, you will carry it with you. No matter what anyone says about it, you will explain it. You will carry it on all social media. It is happy when you celebrate it like your own film. When you see people like this, it reminds us that our life is a blessing.

Other producers didn't believe in this story. Atlee believed in it. Cinema is a business. I'm not saying this as a flaw. They asked some questions about the director. When talking about the director, they asked him what his previous film was? What was its business? But all three films he directed were wonderful. Aren't they wonderful films like Naduvula Konjam Pakkath Kaanom, Seetha Kaathi, and Patha? I wanted to act in a side story. But he said that I should play a college student after looking at my face. If he had looked more closely, he would have agreed. That's why I couldn't act.

Seethakathi, at first, did not accept me. She said it was a story that should be acted by people like Kamal sir, Amitabh sir, Mohanlal sir. But I acted. Even if the dogs on the street are beautiful, we will not accept that. We like German Shepherds.

"There are a lot of people here, this crowd, all these are things that are in big films. But Patha is a film that can tell what is in the heart. It is a film that tells feelings. I like children. But during the shooting of the film, I did not talk properly to the little boy Sai, I did not get along with him. Because I had to act like he was afraid of me. I was strict that if something happened, it would change. He has acted well. He has gained great fame through this film. He should not change his direction. I would say that he should study well. Lijomol's contribution was excellent. Thank you. My brothers Hari, Jyoti, Vishnu, Bala, thank you too. You have done very well. I also had doubts about Sai Abhyankar. But he understood this film and worked. In this way, everyone understood the story of this film and worked. Thank you to everyone."

Speaking in conclusion, producer Atlee said,

"No matter what, no matter how I speak, they blame me. They say I'm arrogant. I want to be fair; I want those around me to be good. Let that honesty and trust be arrogant."

If milk goes bad, it becomes valuable when it becomes curd. If curd goes bad, it becomes even more valuable when it becomes ghee. In this way, in life, we move to the next stage due to some bad experiences. If God has lost the way, it has a meaning. It means that he is taking us to the next stage. This film is such an experience of Patha.

I am confident. If that sounds arrogant, then keep it.

If I were to direct a film with Vijay sir at a young age, no one would believe it, they would laugh. If I were to direct a film with Shah Rukh Khan, no one would believe it, they would laugh. That was my every stage. Today, I have gone all the way to Bollywood and directed a film.

I am black and come from the Madurai area. So some people may find it funny. But I will continue on my path without paying attention to this.

Regarding this film, I would like to thank producer Murad Khedani for coming and joining me for a word I said.

Some people can never be forgotten. Vijay Sethupathi brother is one such person. He is a good person, more than a good actor, he is a good person first. I have learned a lot from him. Rajini sir and Shah Rukh Khan all talk about him.

Today, Vijay Sethupathi Anna is known all over India. I will take him further. If there is a chance, it is my wish to restart the film 'Marudhanayakam' with both Kamal sir and Vijay Sethupathi Anna.

Sai Abhyankar is a child of God. Many people can talk about him in many ways. But when we went to London, he made about 200 musicians who had worked in Hollywood films play his music notes and surprised them and received applause. I am telling you here that he will grow up to be a proud symbol of Tamil Nadu. Even though this film is on the path of success, I am going to seek out the people to make it even more successful. That is not less. Going towards the people is a noble thing,” he said.
